Hattiesburg, MS - It's Like Coming Home!

David Jacks

About David

David Jacks moved to the Hattiesburg, MS area from Vicksburg, MS in 1995 to attend William Carey College. While there he meet this beautiful girl who was organizing a mission trip. After standing between her and a drunken homeless man (big man might I add) and telling him to back off and leave her alone he got her attention. On April 25, 1998 he and Julie married. They have three beautiful children Abbey, Dawson and Sydney Caroline.

David and his wife enjoy misision work, hiking, and just hanging out with their kids. David has been on several mission trips to England, Peru, Angentina, and Mexico. One of his desires is to see Students catch the joy of missions and Servanthood evangelism.

If you walk into David Office you will see a few hundred bottles from all over the place. He enjoys collecting things that make him laugh, think, and play well with others. Like Apples to Apples.

David has served at Calvary Baptist church since September of 2002. He has had the joy and privilege to work with and lead many students and as well as Calvary's Sunday School ministry.

David graduated William Carey College (Not The University) in 1998 with a Major In Psychology and a minor in Music. He then received a Master of Divinity degree in Christian Education from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2002. He has completed hours at Samford University's Beeson Divinity School toward his Doctor of Ministry degree.

David is a fan of all kinds of books, music, and movies.
