There are several ways that you can be involved in missions through our threefold mission strategy.
1. LOCAL MISSIONS
CARE Outreach - CARE teams go out every Monday night to share the life changing message of the gospel. The teams are open to any and everyone passionate about telling the lost about Jesus.
THE R.A.C.K. - Random Acts of Christian Kindness. The R.A.C.K. ministry encourages each believer to be sensitive to opportunities to reach out with Christ's love. Cards a re provided that explain the R.A.C.K. and encourage the person receiving kindness to "go and do likewise."
LAMAR BAPTIST ASSOCIATION MISSION CENTER/FOOD PANTRY - Calvary is responsible to staff the mission center one month per year. Contact the office to find out when you can help.
2. NORTH AMERICAN MISSIONS
MEN'S CONSTRUCTION MINISTRY - Each year a team of men travel to rural areas of our country to provide assistance to churches in building programs, all free of charge. If you have construction expertise, or just like to drive nails and carry wood, contact the men's ministry director to discover when the next trip will be.
MISSION ALASKA - God is doing great things in the frontier! Calvary is developing a partnership with Alaska Missions to send teams who will reach out in innovative ways to the residents of the 50th state. Here is an upcoming opportunity. See Alaska Sportsman's Outreach below.
3. GLOBAL MISSIONS
MEDICAL/DENTAL MISSIONS -
In conjunction with Baptist Medical Dental Missions International, several Calvary Members travel to Central America in the spring to participate in Medical/Dental Missions trips. If you would like to help, contact Dr. Buddy Wallace.
THE PERU MISSION- In conjunction with the Lamar Baptist Association we have adopted a segment of the Huylas Quechua Indians near the town of Jimbe, Peru. Through a three or four year commitment, our desire is to see churches planted where believers are not only growing in their faith, but have taken on the responsibility of reaching their world for Christ. We are working in partnership with REAPNORTH of the International Mission Board, SBC in this endeavor.

Ministry Teams
Calvary Baptist Church is committed to every member being a minister. To that end, we encourage the formation of ministry teams composed of individuals led of God to gather and minister together. The church oversees the ministry through the deacons and nominating committee who recommend the core leadership to the church. Other members of these ministry teams are not elected, can serve at any time for as long as they wish, and do not necessarily have to be members of Calvary. Currently, Calvary offers these ministry teams:
Prayer Ministry Team - Meets weekly in intercession for prayer requests. Coordinates a prayer chain ministry. Enlists prayer warriors who pray weekly during morning worship.
First Impressions Ministry Team - Serves weekly as greeters for newcomers and guests during Sunday School.
Children's Ministry Team - Facilitates ministry to children under the leadership of the Director of Childhood Ministry.
Special Events
Calvary realizes that not everyone is attracted to the idea of a worship service as their first point of contact made with the church. This is one of the reasons special events are held throughout the year to give an opportunity for the community to get to know us.
Law Enforcement Appreciation Sunday

Vacation Bible School - Each year Calvary draws over 100 children up to outgoing 6th grade students to experience a fun week of music, games, and Bible study.
