Daniel Lee – Minister of Music
I began my ministry here at Calvary Baptist Church on July 30, 2006. I have three daughters, Lindsey (22), Jenna Clair (15), and Julianna (13). I am married to Julie Cranford Lee of Laurel, MS. After graduating from Bay Springs High School in 1979, I attended JCJC, and was called almost immediately to Stringer Baptist Church as their part-time Music Minister. Since then, I have done my best to faithfully serve our Lord and Savior at churches in the MS area. I received my Music Education Degree at USM, but I felt God’s calling to the full-time music ministry rather than in teaching. I want to consider myself a Minister first and a music director second. While serving here at Calvary, I have enjoyed working with the Sanctuary Choir, a fantastic Student Choir, a contemporary Ensemble, a 3-octave Handbell Choir, and I love leading the congregation in singing praises to the God Most High! I love God with all of my heart, and I don’t mind saying that I am still growing more and more every day as I experience His love and forgiveness. I love our people, and I want to be faithful to serve them to the best of my ability. I thank the good people at Calvary for allowing me to serve them through God’s love!
Georganna McLain – Director of Childhood Education
I am a totally cool wife, mom and minister who loves Jesus Christ! I married Andy in 1996, the same year I graduated North Forrest High School, and we have two beautiful girls Andi and Anna. I have a blast hanging with my wonderful family! I fell in love with church work while my husband and I volunteered with youth and children at Rawls Springs Baptist Church in Hattiesburg. I surrendered into the ministry and went to William Carey University and received my B.A. in biblical studies in 2008. I enjoy going to the ministry leadership conferences Orange and Catalyst to learn more about being relevant and Christ focused in ministry. I work part time at Calvary and also help direct a preschool during the week. I love coaching Upward Soccer and volunteering at both my girls’ schools. I have a call on my heart to minister to families and help facilitate environments where children can learn about the Lord through the lens of their culture, and I have a blast doing it! I also am a child advocate for the Compassion International organization, helping release children from poverty in Jesus’ name!
