What to expect when you visit:
Who are we?
Calvary Baptist Church consists of a wide range of different people, from all ages and different backgrounds. Whoever you are you are assured a very warm welcome at Calvary Baptist Church. It’s like coming home!
When to arrive:
If it’s your first visit then we would love to see you at 9:45 am for Sunday School (weekly Bible study). There is plenty of free parking. You will be greeted at the door by our welcoming team who can direct you to the appropriate Sunday School class. If you are planning on simply attending the worship service for your first visit, you may join us in the sanctuary where we will begin our morning service at 11:00 am.
What to wear:
This is easy. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. There may be some people in shorts and a t-shirt, others in suits, and people wearing everything in between. Just come in some tasteful clothing and you are all set.
What to expect:
For some people going anywhere for the first time can be a bit of a nerve-racking experience. To help avoid any worries here’s a quick summary of what you can expect at Calvary. First of all we aren’t super-spiritual beings. We all had a ‘first day’ at church. You will find we are a friendly bunch, so if you don’t understand something please simply ask. We start Sunday School at 9:45 am with a few minutes of catching up with everyone before beginning our Bible study. Our worship times at 11:00 am and 6:00 pm both consist of a variety of songs, scripture reading, and a sermon. A nursery is provided for all services. Our aim is that whether you are just looking into Christianity for the first time or have been a Christian for many years that you should be encouraged to become more like Jesus Christ. We hope that everyone will draw closer to God.
What we believe:
We are a Christian church affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. We have friendly relationships with other local churches from differing denominations. Our basic beliefs come from the Bible and are outlined in the Baptist Faith and Message 1963. If you are interested in exploring the Christian faith then please come visit Calvary as our guest.
For those with disabilities:
We try to be as accessible as possible. Please contact the church office if you have any specific questions about Calvary Baptist Church’s facilities.
